A supersonic, nuclear-armed, long-range interceptor

The McDonnell F-101B Voodoo was a long-range interceptor used by the USAF Air Defense Command.  With an initial climb rate of over 35,000 feet per minute, and armed with nuclear-tipped missiles and rockets, the Voodoo and her crews were tasked with patrolling for and intercepting potentially hostile aircraft which posed a threat to the United States.
