More work on the Stratosaurus
"Stratosaurus"? That's not meant to be derogatory at all! Name another aircraft that's been flying so long that's still in military service.
Need another one? Just tow it from AMARG, light the engines, and go bomb something. Well, it's likely not that simple, but it is a pretty amazing plane, don't you think?
So, while the rendering of the Hooligans' F-101s continues (five days now, 16 percent complete), and while we're enjoying our beautiful January weather (rain, sleet, and freezing rain), I spent this evening fleshing out the '52 a bit more.
As you can see, she has a nose now.
I was able to rough-in the flight deck area, and made a minor reshaping of the wings on the trailing edge.
No major plans for the weekend here. So, I'll likely get a start on the engine pods tomorrow.
In the mean time, I hope you all enjoy your weekends! See you next time!
