Two New Releases!
Hello everyone! Hope your weekend is going well!
"Four Came Home" depicts a formation of post-strike 357th TFS Thunderchiefs coming into the break as they return safely home to Takhli Royal Thai Air Force Base. All of the planes in the formation are still carrying their weapons pylons and drop tanks; an indication they may not have been jumped by enemy MiGs during their mission.
The second print is titled "One Climbed West," which I created as a tribute to fallen F-105 pilots and crew members by recreating the Missing Man Formation as flown by Republic F-105D Thunderchiefs. Thunderchiefs flew more strike missions over Southeast Asia than any other aircraft, most over over North Vietnam. Over 350 were lost to enemy fire, with the great majority of those losses over North Vietnam. This is a small tribute to those who have "flown west."
Both "Four Came Home" and "One Climbed West" are offered as signed 24x18 inch prints.
With those two pieces now published and available, maybe it's time I got back to work on the B-52?
Until next time, have a great week!
I have no idea why part of the titles for the prints are being repeated. I can't seem to find anything wrong when I edit this blog entry, so I'm not really sure what's causing it. Gremlins?? (ha!)
