McDonnell-Douglas RF-4C Phantom II (East Mississippi Veterans Memorial)
Based at historic Key Field, in Meridian MIssissippi, the 186th Tactical Reconnaissance Group/153rd Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron began flying the McDonnell-Douglas RF-4C Phantom II in 1979. 67-0438 was one of the unit's longest serving Phantoms, from 1979 to 1991. She was scheduled to be scrapped after being transferred to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG). However, through the efforts of the East Mississippi Veterans Foundation, the aircraft was saved and will be placed on display at the East Mississippi Veterans Memorial Park located near Key Field.
"Phantoms Inbound Key" shows 67-0438 receiving an escort from another very special, "50th anniversary" 153rd TRS Phantom II as they descend through the clouds toward a touchdown at Key Field. This is a signed and numbered 24x18 inch print in a limited edition of 100 copies, and was commissioned by the East Mississippi Veterans Foundation to celebrate their iconic Mississippi Air Guard Phantom II and raise funds for the restoration and display of 67-0438 at the veterans memorial park near Key Field.
